Description
This is an easy lower steering column mounting set up. Install your firewall plate on the inside of your firewall. Mount your steering column at the dash loosely while the lower end protrudes through the column plate, set desired height of your column with the steering wheel mounted. Then make sure all settings are to your desire, then simply weld the plate to the column, then this becomes a one man job of removing and reinstalling your steering column! Note: weld a 1/4-20 nut between the column plate and firewall, it then becomes a spacer so you don’t crush the column opening flange.
